Tonsils, Potty Training and Light Bulbs

Claire has been potty training this summer... it has been comical to say the least. Goggles are the ONLY thing she wears except for the underwear, which has been worn on her head several times.

Haley had her tonsils taken out this summer. She must have been on some pretty strong medication, because when we brought her home she said she was feeling good and wanted a cheese burger! Instead we gave her a slush. She threw up twice later that night. (Your welcome.)

Claire loves to run up and down the back balcony. She spends a lot of time out there. After being very quiet for a very long time she came in the house and handed Chris a light bulb from a strand of VERY FRAGILE lights.  When Chris asked her where it came from she took him out to the balcony to show him how she unscrewed 65 lights and gently placed them in a pile. Amazingly, she did not break any of them.

13!

I can't believe you are thirteen! I love you and I love being your Mom!

Happy Birthday Haley!

For Haley's Birthday we had a Spy Party - She and some friend's had to track down a couple of no good jewelry thieves. It was a great party!

12

Today my Haley turns twelve.
The party was a lot of fun.

The girls went on a Bigger or Better scavenger hunt.  (When  my brother did this once he came back with a pair of skis.)
I sent each team out with a bar of soap and  they went to five homes and traded the items that they got at the previous home for something bigger or better.
I about fell over laughing when one team came home with an AB Lounge and a Chocolate Fondue set.   (Just for the record: that blows skis out of the water!)
I can't believe that 4 girls hauled that huge thing about five blocks!

Each girl got a pedicure.  It was so funny to listen to their conversations as they soaked their feet in the water.

Happy Birthday Haley Jane!  We love you!

Room redo

For Haley's 12th birthday  Chris and I (with the help of Grandma O.)  surprised her with a bedroom redo.  It turned out great and she absolutly loves it.

And best of all, she had no idea.  I got crafty and did a few little things.  (I hope your sitting down...) I sewed a little bird that is perched above her window.  My HomeEc teacher will faint when she hears this.

Last Week of School- recap

It was a busy week, but I think that it was a good ending to a good year of school for the kids. Haley and I decorated eighty little cupcakes.  They were a hit.

She did awesome at her voice recital and even made some great catches and scored two runs at her softball game.
Ryan also had fun at his two t-ball games this week.  (pure comedy!)

Who is this girl?

Haley made my breakfast in bed this weekend.  It was so sweet.  Toast, eggs, blackberries and orange juice.    The best part- was the in the silver cup, two gummy vitamins and a vitamin C.

But the thing that threw me the most was when she did the dishes WITHOUT being asked!

Eleven!

My daughter turned eleven!  I can't believe it!  How did I become the mother of an eleven year old?

We had a great party with a few of her friends.  They painted tea cups, bowls, plates & etc. at our local pottery studio.  Haley found the cutest cups that looked like cupcakes.  We filled them with goodies and my amazing friend made lemon and chocolate cupcakes.

I think Haley had a great birthday.

I NEED MORE TIME!!!

I was determined to fiercely hold on to every moment of this Christmas season...  but it is almost over!

My kids are growing up so fast and I look older every-time I look in the mirror!   I just want time to pause for a little bit.
Haley and her friend were talking in the kitchen while I was making dinner tonight.  I was laughing because they were so engrossed in conversation about so-and-so likes so-and-so, but not like, likes him!
How am I the Mom of a girl who may or may not "like, like" someone!  I swear she should only be six!
And then to make things even more nuts... we went shoe shopping for her on Saturday and she wears a size 10 shoe!  (I wear a 9.5)  -Please make it stop!!!!
